Support Groups

Connection Recovery Support Groups

Recovery support groups are offered free for people living with mental illness where people learn from one another’s experiences, share coping strategies and offer mutual encouragement and understanding. The groups provide an ongoing opportunity to discuss the challenges of living with a mental health condition and techniques for maintaining wellness.  You must be 18 years of age to attend. Every first Tuesday of the month except for January and July there will be no meeting.

Family Support Groups – in Anderson and Pendleton

Monthly Networking and support opportunities family members of someone with a mental health concern.   These free meetings of parents, caregivers and friends of individuals with mental or behavioral impairments can talk frankly about their challenges and concerns and help one another through their learned wisdom.  Participants are encouraged to share actively in the work of the group.    You must be 18 years of age to attend. Every first Tuesday of the month except for January and July there will be NO meeting.

Monthly Educational Meeting

NAMI AOP holds a monthly educational meeting on the first Tuesday of each month.. This meeting is open to anyone who is interested in mental health issues. Meetings usually have a guest speaker. Past guest speakers have included a psychiatrist, a psychopharmacologist, legislators, state and local mental health leaders, and other great local resources etc. No meeting is held in January or July.
